Nasal Surgery - View Photo Gallery

Rhinoplasty is one of the most common cosmetic surgical procedures performed today.  The operation is usually carried out to improve one's appearance.  It is also frequently requested for repair of injuries or correction of the increasing disfigurement of the nose that occurs as a patient matures.  In addition, patients may be influenced to have nasal surgery because of funtional problems such as airway obstruction.

Rhinoplasty is essentially surgery on a very small scale. Therefore, it is important

to understand prior to undertaking this surgery that the goal is improvement.  Perfection in rhinoplasty remains elusive, with attempts at the perfect result often ending up as too much surgery and the "operated" look.  A realistic approach toward this operation for both patient and surgeon alike is to understand that there often-times is a limit to the changes which can take place for each individual.  For example, a patient may present with somewhat thick, oily skin which may make it difficult, at best, to achieve more than a modest improvement.

Nevertheless, most patients are very satisfied with the results of their rhinoplasty, as their major concerns are able to be nicely addressed.  During your consultation, we will have the opportunity to discuss individual goals and limitations in detail.  As everyone's nose is different, so too should your treatment be tailored to fit your particular situation.  Computer imaging is available to patients who wish to preview the results which are generally achieved with this type of surgery.  Imaging is also helpful in evaluating the possibilities with concomitant procedures such as chin advancement and neck liposuction.
